Do I need to pay admission to attend plant sales?
We now charge admission to enter the Garden. This month, plant sale customers enter for free. Simply inform the person at the admissions kiosk that you are going to the plant sale, and you will not be charged. Next month, a permanent policy will be put into place.

Plant Sales
A unique opportunity to acquire plants seldom found in commercial nurseries
or garden centers. All plants are suitable for Bay Area gardens and are
propagated by volunteers from the Garden's own collections.
Saturday Plant Sales are held at the San Francisco Botanical Garden Nursery
from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. Our Nursery is located in the southwest corner of the Gardens, a five minute walk from the Main
Gate at Ninth Avenue at Lincoln Way. A wide variety of plants are available at each sale. Many plant sales have specially featured plant selections as indicated below.
